Hyderabad: After filing a complaint with the Enforcement Directorate (ED) last week regarding the TSPSC exam paper leak, which resulted in a case being booked, TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy has decided to sharpen his attack on the BRS during his padayatra, which he will resume on April 10, by taking the issue to the people in order to expose the alleged links of top officials at Pragathi Bhavan, including the CMO’s secretary.
Revanth Redd toldy the media after the executive meeting on Saturday that the TSPSC leak issue had direct links to Pragathi Bhavan because CMO secretary P. Rajasekhar Reddy was the brother-in-law of TSPSC member B. Linga Reddy, who is being questioned by the special investigation team (SIT) probing the case.
"People should know that the TSPSC question paper leak scam has some direct links to the important officials in Pragathi Bhavan. KCR has brought him on deputation from the Centre,” Revanth Reddy alleged.
The PCC, which held an executive meeting on Sunday, has resolved to lead a campaign against the TSPSC leak throughout this month in order to put pressure on the K. Chandrashekar Rao-led BRS government. As part of the campaign, Revanth Reddy, who will resume his padayatra from Jukkal in Kamareddy district and will continue until April 25, will expose the state government over the question paper leak during his interactions with people about the scam and the state's growing unemployment problem. Further, the Congress will hold a massive protest programme in Gajwel, the Chief Minister's constituency, on April 25.
Additionally, Revanth Reddy claimed that BJP leaders like state party president Bandi Sanjay Kumar and Union minister G. Kishan Reddy were making statements to the media as opposed to filing complaints with the central investigating agencies like the Congress did.
"The BJP has been limited to issuing statements. We have approached the High Court, the CBI, the ED, the ACB, and even the Governor, as well as formed a sub-committee to put pressure on the BRS government. Why did Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay not approach the Central investigating agencies or Home minister Amit Shah,” he wondered.
Revanth Reddy also challenged the CM to an open debate on the issue of rising farmer suicides, citing NCRB data and claiming that the actual figures would be ten times higher. “The number of farmers who committed suicide is ten times higher. Let the CM have an open date in the presence of Rythu Swarajya Vedika. Is the CM ready for the debate,” he tweeted in response to the Chief Minister’s comments to a Maharashtra delegation about farmer suicides.
Meanwhile, the PCC and its front organisations have decided to conduct a postcard campaign on Monday to oppose Rahul Gandhi's disqualification from Lok Sabha. Postcards will be sent to the Prime Minister's Office as part of the campaign, asking that a joint parliamentary committee investigate the allegations against the Adani group as well as question the decision to disqualify Rahul Gandhi.
