CM to inaugurate Family Doctor' programme at Lingamguntla village on April 6

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to inaugurate the ‘Family Doctor’ programme at Lingamguntla village of Chilakaluripeta Mandal in Palnadu district on April 6.

Minister for health Vidadala Rajini disclosed this during her visit to the Lingamguntla village along with health principal secretary M.T. Krishna Babu and others, to inspect the arrangements for the CM’s visit on Saturday.

Later, the minister told media persons that the state government was going to launch the ‘Family Doctor’ programme to ensure healthcare to the people at their doorstep and wished the programme would become an ideal one in the entire country.

The minister said that they were carrying out the implementation of the programme on a trial basis since October 21 and said that under the programme, a PHC doctor would visit YSR Village Clinic in 104 vehicle every 15 days and conduct medical tests and provide medicines. She said that the doctor would also visit the students in Anganwadi centres and schools and provide healthcare to them.

She called upon the people from the Chilakaluripet Assembly segment to turn up in large numbers to welcome the Chief Minister during his visit to the village to inaugurate the family doctor programme.
