VIJAYAWADA: TD MLC Y.V.B. Rajendra Prasad accused YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of spreading lies with regard to Kia Motors, ahead of the April 11 general elections.
Out of frustration, Mr Jagan is saying that Kia Motors had set up its uit in AP due to initiative taken by the PM, Mr Prasad said.
The MLC said that the proof for Mr Jagan’s lies is available in BJP Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis’ confession that their government could not give land and other requirements to Kia. “The AP government could provide what all the Kia unit demanded,” he said.
Addressing mediapersons at Praja Vedika in Undavalli on Monday, Mr Rajendra Prasad reminded Mr Jagan that some politicos of Tamil Nadu had accused their state government of being responsible for Kia going to AP, due to rampant corruption in TN.
“Jagan is spreading lies about Kia only to appease Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as he can bail him out of the illegal assets case being probed by the CBI.”
The TD leader pointed out that while Mr Reddy was praising the BJP government, Modi was reciprocating to that by becoming the star campaigner for the YSRC.
Modi’s only agenda is to crush the TD and bring Mr Jagan to power, so that they will have a puppet in AP, the TD MLC said. “Modi has no credibility in national politics as he has ditched his political guru L.K. Advani, even when the latter saved Modi from allegations on Godhra massacre.”
AP 20 Point programme, chairman Y.S. Sesha Sai Babu said that all the YSRC candidates appear to have criminal background. He said they would take the issue to the notice of the President and the Governor the fray, both in the LS and Assembly segments.
It seems criminal record is the attractive eligibility for anybody to get the YSRC ticket, he said.
Sesha Sai said that YSRC Rajahmundry MP candidate Margani Bharath Ram has indicated the dowry harassment that is registered against him and also the allegations of attempt to murder on his own close relative. Srikakulam YSRC MP candidate Duvvada Srinivas is an accused in 4 murder cases and two PD cases.
