Separate manifesto for Mangalagiri

Mr Lokesh said that a separate manifesto for the constituency shows his dedication for its development.

Vijayawada: TD candidate for Mangalgiri Assembly constituency N. Lokesh released a separate manifesto for the development of Managalagiri during the election campaign in Mangalagiri on Monday. He promised to spend two hours a day to interact with the public and know their grievances.

Mr Lokesh said he was planning to develop Mangalagiri as a model constituency in the country. Claiming that he was committed to the development of Mangalagiri, Mr Lokesh said that a separate manifesto for the constituency shows his dedication for its development.

He promised to provide pucca houses to all the poor, resolve pending house pattas, install additional electric transformers, walking tracks and modernisation of water ponds in all villages, tap connection to every house under Jaladhara scheme, and complete the NTR Sujala Sravanti scheme to quench the thirst of people in the constituency. Mr Lokesh said that Mangalagiri would be transformed like a “smart city” by constructing under ground drainage system, permanent dumping yards in Tadepalli and Managalagiri and starting a power production plant that can generate electricity from waste.

Tamanna Simhadri, the transgender contesting for the Mangalagiri seat against TD nominee Lokesh, participated in campaigning in Mangalagiri and Tadepalli on Monday.

She and her supporters urged the voters to vote for her, for a change towards better life. The locals also spoke to Tamanna enthusiastically to know about her confidence in contesting against Naidu’s son, N. Lokesh. She was allotted the party symbol of camera.

On this occasion, she said the voters are willing to vote her and they believe that she was the best contestant among others. She said that women voters are encouraging her and its boost to her campaign.
