Kerala: IMD predicts isolated rains
Thiruvananthapuram: Giving some respite to the soaring temperatures, the Indian meteorology department has predicted isolated rainfall across the state in the coming five days.
However, the high-temperature alert will continue for Tuesday, Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Idukki, Ernakulam, Palakkad, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasargod districts experiencing 2 to 3-degree higher than the average seasonal temperature.
Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Palakkad, Wayanad, Kozhikode, and Kannur will receive light isolated showers till April 6.
On Monday, a total of 22 heat rash cases, 47 sunburns, and two sunstrokes were reported in the state, taking the total number of heat-related cases to 792.
