Ayesha Meera murder case: Hyderabad HC faults trial court's verdict

In the absence of any record, it remained in the arena of assumptions, the HC said.

Hyderabad: The High Court found fault with the trial court for simply believing in the version of the police without looking into the fact that there was no legal, lawful and acceptable material on record to show that Ayesha Meera was raped.

The court considered the defence argument that there was nothing to show that DNA profiling of Ayesha and Satyam Babu was done on the samples supposed to have been sent to the FSL Hyderabad. In the absence of any record, it remained in the arena of assumptions, the HC said.
