Elangovan said the nationalised banks are adopting stringent procedure to sanction loans for farmers.

Chennai: TNCC president E.V.K.S. Elangovan on Friday announced that the Conngress will support and participate in the rail roko announced by farmers associations against the severe measures of nationalised banks to collect the loans given to farmers.
He said the nationalised banks are adopting stringent procedure to sanction loans for farmers, who are facing severe losses due to natural calamities like droughts and floods. The nationalised and private banks are not following a human approach towards farmers and seizing the farmers equipment causing resentment, he added.
