Thiruvanthapuram: St Joseph's College, SB College win basketball final

Thiruvanthapuram: St Joseph’s College, Irinjalakuda and SB College, Changanacherry won the 57th edition of Mar Ivanios Basketball tournament for women and men respectively.

In the men’s match, host Mar Ivanios College went down to SB College 69-74, after leading 30-24.

In the women’s final, St Joseph’s college, Irinja-lakuda won the title as they beat host Mar Ivanios college Thiruvanthapuram 62-39

On Thursday, in a late semifinal match for women, St Joseph’s College, Irinjalakuda beat SES College, Sreekan-tapuaram 77-48 while SB College prevailed over KE College, Mannam in the Men’s clash with the score 78-59 to reach the final.

Special prize for best player went to Sudharshan, SB College and Lithara, St Joseph’s, Irinjalakuda

Promising Player award went to Sejin Mathew (men) Sreekala R. (women)

The trophies and cash awards were distributed by Jayaraj, director of physical education, Kerala University.
