Terrorism not limited to one religion, says Rajnath Singh
Hyderabad: All the nations in the world are uniting in the fight against terrorism which does not have a caste, creed or religion. It is not correct to attribute terrorism to one religion as terrorists can be from any caste and religion, said Union home minister Rajnath Singh on Friday.
He said that all Islamic nations were supporting the fight against terrorism and that India had taken the lead after the Pulwama attack.
“A few days ago, after the attack on the jawans at Pulwama, the entire world came to our support. They know where the problem is. Our Prime Minister has decided to fight it and India has started plucking out terrorism from its roots,” said the minister.
Mr Singh was in the city to inaugurate the office building and residential complex for employees of the National Investigation Agency, Hyderabad, at Khanamet under the Madhapur police station limits. He also inaugurated the office space and residential building of NIA, Guwahati, from here.
“Terrorism has no caste, creed and religion. Many people link terrorism with a particular religion, but this is not true. Even Islamic organisations across the globe are supporting the fight against terrorism,” said the minister.
He added that an example for this was external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj receiving an invitation as a guest of honour to participate in an event organised by the Organisation for Islamic Cooperation; this has happened for the first time in history. The office building and residential complex of the NIA built in Hyderabad by the National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) is spread over 12,572 sq metres and cost Rs 37 crore.
