Chennai: A day before the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court is scheduled to hear the final arguments in the paternity case of actor Dhanush, the Melur couple filed a fresh petition seeking DNA mapping of the actor and themselves to establish their biological relationship.The couple, R.Kathiresan and Meenakshi, also claimed that the actor had submitted a fake transfer certificate in the court.
Danush had, based on an earlier court direction, submitted the education certificates of class X, including his transfer certificate to establish that he had studied in Chennai. Though the transfer certificate submitted by actor does not mention any identity marks, the TC certificate submitted by the couple mention the identity marks on his body. Hence the court subjected him to medical examination for personal verification of his birthmarks Tuesday to ascertain his parentage.
Meanwhile, the couple in the fresh petition alleging that while Kathuri Raja and Vijayalakshmi (whom the actor claimed were his biological parents) belong to a backward caste from Theni district, the actor's TC mentions that he belongs to schedule caste community.Stating that the TC submitted in the court belongs to some other person, the couple asked the court to order DNA mapping on Dhanush to ascertain his paternity.
