PalamuruRanga Reddy lift irrigation scheme: Nagam Janardhan Reddy suspects graft
Hyderabad: BJP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Tuesday moved the Hyderabad High Court, challenging a notification issued by the TS government inviting tenders for Palamuru –Ranga Reddy lift irrigation scheme. Dr Reddy told the court that the notice issued by the government on January 16, 2016 was against the tender regulations. He submitted that tenders were invited for four packages and the tender notice and the rules framed under it will give scope for corruption.
Contending the tender notice contrary to the tender procedure was illegal, Dr Reddy sought a direction to the authorities to implement the guidelines and technical advice of Engineering Staff College of India in executing the project and in inviting tenders. Dr Reddy urged the court to stay the tender process till final adjudication of his plea.
