Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam gears up for Rathasapthami: EO

Speaking to media persons in Tirumala on Friday, the EO said that Sri Malayappa Swamy will take a celestial ride on seven different vahanams.

Titupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam is now gearing up to host yet another big festival ‘Rathasapt-hami’ which is scheduled to be observed on February 12, said TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal.

Speaking to media persons in Tirumala on Friday, the EO said that Sri Malayappa Swamy will take a celestial ride on seven different vahanams on the auspicious day. “We are making elaborated arrangements for the grand one day celebration of Brahmotsavam called Rathasapthami. Considering the experiences from past events, this time the galleries at the four mada streets are getting ready to give the best visual experience to the devotees who throng there to get a glimpse of the Lord on different Vahana sevas”, Mr Singhal said. Later, he said, “On Feb. 5 and 19 TTD will issue 4000 tokens to senior citizens and physically challenged while on Feb. 6 and 20, the tokens would be issued to parents with children below 5 years of age. Meanwhile, both events of Maha Kumbhabhish-ekam for the temple at Kanyakumari and Bhook-arshana for the temple at Amaravati went off in a successful manner.
