Legislators demand Centre keep promises made to Andhra Pradesh

Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, TD MLAs and MLCs attended the Assembly and Council on Friday sporting black shirts in protest against the injustice done to Andhra Pradesh by the Centre and also as a mark of solidarity with the bandh call given by the Special Category Status Sadhana Samiti.

Mr Naidu shunned his trademark cream shirt and sported a black shirt.

BJP floor leader in the Assembly P. Vishnukumar Raju objected to TD men wearing black shirts.

The AP Assembly passed a resolution demanding Special Category Status and also implementation of the provisions of the AP Reorganisation Act.
