Bengaluru: Is S.M. Krishna going to do Jayalalithaa? Mr Krishna has added an extra 'a' to his name which figured in the name plate outside his residence, ahead of his press conference on last Sunday to announce his resignation from Congress party, with which he was associated for about 46 years.
His wife Prema Krishna told Deccan Chronicle, “The family wanted his name to spelt in this manner as when you add an extra 'a' to his name, it sounds Krishnaa … a godly feeling automatically comes from within. Therefore, whoever calls his name should also remember the God too."
Another reason, she put forth was that his earlier name used to get truncated abruptly. "Krishnaa sounds more earful and it also gives sense that continuation, whereas the earlier name used end soon after it started," she said.
