KOCHI: Revealing the bickering in the Congress and baring the involvement of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy’s close confidant Benny Behanan in the solar episode, key accused Saritha S Nair on Monday said Thampanoor Ravi and Benny Behanan made requests to her in the case as per the direction of the Chief Minister.
She told the Justice Sivarajan Commission that she was physically and financially exploited by many people and submitted to the commission three CDs and documents to support her claims.
Saritha told the commission that she had deposed before the chief judicial magistrate court regarding the sexual abuse. The Commission also mentioned that the CJM N V Raju had ratified this.
Sarita said the depositions of her mother Indira Nair, former Minister R Balaksirhna Pillai and former chief whip P C George before the commission were true.
She said that the letter brandished in the press conference in Thiruvananthapuram was the same as the one written while in police custody at Perumbavoor.
“However there were some notes with the letter. In that notes the forcible sex by Jose K Mani is menioned. The letter was shown to P C George as asked by Balakrishna Pillai. My mother also had read the letter. In the letter Chief Minister, other ministers, MLAs and politicial leaders and officials are mentioned. But I don’t want to reveal all names. It is said in the letter that an MLA in Ernakulam was given Rs 5 lakh. Details about it can deposed before the commission next day,” Saritha said.
Saritha presented a copy of the application prepared by her in her own handwriting for the wife of NRI industrialist E K Baburaj for resurveying their land at Mavelikkara. In the application directly submitted by Saritha on Decemebr 10, 2012, the Chief Minister put the seal and signature and sent a letter to Alappuzha District Colletor.
