DMK's Murasoli website hacked
Chennai: The website of the DMK's mouthpiece Murasoli was hacked allegedly by miscreants on Monday but was restored in less than an hour.
On Monday, party workers and Murasoli staff initially noticed that the website had been hacked and a technical team tried to resolve the issue. Messages ‘Hacked By F4rhaN’ and “Admin Please make a secure website” were found on www.murasoli.in, party sources said.
The website was later restored by the party's IT wing, the source added. A complaint has been lodged with the Cyber crime police wing in this regard.
Murasoli was started on Aug.10, 1942, in Tiruvarur by DMK chief M. Karunanidhi when he was in his teens. Its earliest editions were in the form of handwritten notices written by Mr. Karunanidhi under the pen name Cheran. It was brought out as a leaflet till 1944 and four years later it resumed as a weekly. Its headquarters moved to Chennai in 1954 and from 1960 it was published as a daily. Murasoli celebrated its platinum jubilee last year.
