Chennai: Airport police are conducting enquiries with a 30-year-old passenger from Uttar Pradesh for allegedly harassing private airline woman stafffer at the Chennai Airport, on Saturday. The Lucknow-bound passenger was offloaded and handed over to the airport police.
According to the police, the accused, Chizu, of Uttar Pradesh arrived at Chennai international airport on Saturday evening to board a private flight to Lucknow.
Sources said, around 3 pm Chizu was waiting in the queue along with other air passengers to receive his boarding pass from the counter. Police said a 25-year-old woman employee of the private airlines was giving the boarding pass.
Police said, when the girl gave him the pass, he allegedly attempted to hold her hand. The girl, however, managed to pull herself back and informed the airline's authority.
The man was nabbed by co-passengers and handed over to the airport police. He was offloaded and an investigation is underway.
