Hyderabad : Faulty' admissions at school opposed
HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Schools Parents Association has submitted a letter to the deputy district education officer against Secunderabad-based Geethanjali Devashray, for beginning its admission process against a circular released by the education board on November 6 stating that all admission procedures for 2018 must be done between June 12 and August 31.
The Association claimed that the school was collecting over Rs 600 and not providing receipts.
The application forms for Geetanjali Devashray has been available since November 1 for classes from nursery to the tenth standard.
The government order had stated that strict act-ion will be taken against managements of schools which flouting the rules. The HSPA has demanded strict action against the school. Members said the school did not provide a break-up of the exam fees that were paid by parents for December 3.
Ms Madhavi Ravi, a parent, said, “Every school should provide a break up of the fee. How else will we know what we are paying for.”
Mr Venkateswarulu Banoth, deputy DEO for Secunderabad, said, “We received the letter after 5 pm and could not check with the school. We will verify the complaint this week.” School officials were not available for comment.
