Hyderabad: Lookout posted for jewel thieves

Police team analysed the CCTV footage in the shop and were able to get images of the alleged thieves.

Hyderabad: Mirchowk police released a look-out notice on five burqa-clad woman who made away with a pair of gold earrings worth Rs 8 lakh from a shop at Gulzar Houz under Mirchowk police station limits by diverting the attention of the owner and salesman.

The incident happened on October 28 and the management approached the police. Following a complaint from the shop owner, the police booked a case under IPC Section 380 (theft) and IPC (cheating) and a probe is on.

According to Mr A. Satish, detective inspector, Mirchowk, the offenders posed as customers and walked into Khaja and Sons Jewellers in Balala Complex on Monday afternoon. “After diverting the attention of the salesmen, they took a box containing gold earrings worth Rs 8 lakh and left the shop.”

Meanwhile, the police team analysed the CCTV footage in the shop and were able to get images of the alleged thieves.
