Core banking solutions introduced at Sri City post office
Nellore: In a significant boost to postal financial services, Mr K. Bala Subramanian, IPoS, Chief Post Master General (CPMG), Andhra Pradesh announced that Core Banking Solutions (CBS) would be available at Sri City post office with immediate effect.
Mr Ravindra Sannaa Reddy, founder managing director, Sri City, Smt. T. M. Srilatha, IPoS, post master general, Kurnool region, and a host of senior postal officials of the division were present.
In a formal ceremony held on Wednesday, the CPMG said that as part of modernisation of postal services, online postal banking service was being introduced. “It will be at par with any other commercial banks, and would enable customers to carry out transactions from any part of the country,” the CPMG added.
Thanking the postal authorities for offering innovative services suiting the needs of a large vibrant community in Sri City, Mr. Ravindra Sannareddy said, “The introduction of the state of the art services will certainly be an added feature for the speed & reliability of postal services.”
While requesting the SPMG to explore the possibility of installing postal automated teller machines (ATMs) and introducing passport processing service in Sri City at the earliest, he urged the Sri City public to make use of the services of the post office. Speaking on the occasion, Smt T. M. Srilatha explained various services that were currently offered by the sub post office.
Stating that their ambition was to reach every company through the service, the PMG said that the scope of all the services would grow in tune with the business.
The CBS provides a solution for anywhere, anytime banking through ATMs, internet and mobile banking services. Soon ATMs will be installed and ATM cards will be issued to post office savings bank customers to avail 24x7 banking facilities.
