New land policy soon, says K Chandrasekhar Rao
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday said that the state government will soon introduce a new policy on sale and purchase of agricultural lands so that no one would need to pay a rupee or run from pillar to post around offices.
He said the state-wide land purification programme will be completed by December 31 and new passbooks will be issued from January 1. The CM said that sanction of loans and other banking transactions, services must be done based on the new records in a farmer-friendly atmosphere.
Mr Rao held meeting with the state-level bankers and officials from agriculture department on Tuesday at Pragati Bhavan wherein he suggested that henceforth, there must be no need to mortgage passbooks with banks as is done now for raising loans.
