Group of Ministers to decide on Telangana govt's request for AP blocks
Vijayawada: The AP Cabinet has decided to form a Group of Ministers to discuss and take a decision on handing over buildings assigned to the state in the Secretariat complex in Hyderabad to the TS government. The AP Cabinet discussed the request sent by the TS government to the Governor in detail, here on Monday.
Finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, briefing the media of the Cabinet decisions, said: “We discussed pending issues from the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014 and we will soon release a GO at the earliest naming the members of the GoM. The fact that the division of assets has not been completed and the AP blocks in the Secretariat complex in Hyderabad have not been transferred to Telangana was discussed in the Cabinet meeting.”
The Cabinet also discussed the security being provided to the Chief Minister in view of the recent threat from Maoists and it was decided to add 298 security personnel to the CM’s security detail. The Cabinet expressed satisfaction at AP being named at the top of Ease of Doing Business rankings announced by the DIPP and World Bank. The Cabinet also approved establishment of four private universities with an investments of Rs 3,028.75 crore, in a span of 10 years.
