Bengaluru: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) has cleared the name of Karnataka State Government Employees’ Association (KSGEA) vice-president Ramesh G. Sanga in the alleged kidnapping of PDO official Girish Naik. The CCB has filed a 'B' report at a local court as it found no evidence against Ramesh.
Girish, who hails from Kalaburgi, had filed a complaint at the Vidhana Soudha police station in March this year, accusing Ramesh of kidnapping and assaulting him for reporting exam malpractices during the first division assistant (FDA) examination to the chief secretary.
After the probe, the police did not find any evidence against Ramesh and found it to be a false complaint. The police then filed a 'B' report, clearing Ramesh's name in the case.
Ramesh said that Girish intentionally filed the false complaint to bring disrepute to him. He said he will file a criminal suit against Girish as the accusations against him are found to be false. “I have been a government servant for the last nine years. I have been working promptly and the accusation of kidnapping and assaulting hurt me. Now that the police have cleared my name, I am happy that the truth has prevailed," Ramesh said.
