TS Governor to attend SRMU-AP convocation tomorrow

Vijayawada: SRM University-AP is holding its 3rd Convocation Ceremony on Saturday, September 2, with Telangana Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan being the chief guest. Indian National Science Academy president Prof. Ashutosh Sharma will be the Guest of Honour.

The convocation is being organised at the SRMU-AP campus in Amaravati. On the occasion, Prof. Ashutosh Sharma will be conferred with an Honorary Doctorate for his exemplary service in the field of nanotechnology. Prof. Sharma is a renowned academician and researcher, currently holding the IIT Kanpur Institute Chair Professorship.

In all, 883 graduates, 13 Ph. D scholars, 17 gold, six silver and two bronze medallists will be receiving their awards and degrees.

SRMU founder chancellor Dr. T.R. Paarivendhar, pro-chancellor Dr. P. Sathyanarayanan, vice chancellor Prof. Manoj K. Arora, registrar Dr. R. Premkumar, members of governing body and board of management, apart from deans of all schools, faculty and staff will be present at the convocation.
