Civil supplies department is making arrangements in this regard.

NIZAMABAD: T-Wallet services will be introduced in fair price shops in Nizamabad district.

FP shops will be open for the entire month from October 1 onwards.

Civil supplies department is making arrangements in this regard.

Supply of essential commodities and other civic services will be provided to the ration card holders from FP shops through T-Wallet soon, officials said. FP shop dealers have been trained for multiple services.

There are 751 FP shops working in Nizamabad district and dealers of the shops have been trained for implementation of T-wallet services.

To avoid irregularities in public distribution system, civil supplies department has introduced Point of Sale (PoS) machines in all Fair Price shops. Presently, the T-Wallet App has been installed in all PoS machines.

Ration card holders can now get subsidised rice from anywhere in the district.

Ration card portability has enabled migrant workers to get subsidy rice, wherever they live.

On the other hand, few FP shop dealers have been complaining about the low commission rates for their services.
They have demanded either hike in commission or regular employment through FP shops.

In this context, the state government has decided to introduce T-wallet system in FP shops to get more income for dealers. Following the utility services in FP shops, the dealers can get more income, the officials said.

District civil supplies officer Padmaja said that people can pay various taxes through Fair Price shops. “We have imparted training for FP shop dealers as they can now serve the ration card holders with multiple benefits”, she explained.
