BBMP officials said that CCTV cameras have been installed along with barricades and the parking places have been designated.
Bengaluru: BBMP has made arrangement for Ganesha idol immersion at 37 lakes and temporary ponds. In addition, arrangements have also been made for immersion at 400 mobile units, which will be installed at all the wards across the city.
As directed earlier, plaster of Paris Ganesha idols will not be allowed to be immersed at the above places, and if found the guilty will be slapped with a hefty fine of Rs 10,000.
BBMP officials said that CCTV cameras have been installed along with barricades and the parking places have been designated.
Devotees have been requested to immerse only the idols and hand over the flowers and other remnants to be disposed off separately.
