HYDERABAD: The Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) Telangana, an affiliated unit of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, (RSS), has invited senior leader of the organisation Indresh Kumar to make an offering to the Bibi-ka-Alam during the 10th Muharram. A delegation comprising about 25 people of the MRM led by its Telangana convenor M.A. Sattar, met Mr Indresh Kumar while he was in the city on Thursday evening and extended the invite. It may be recalled that Mr Kumar was recently acquitted in the Macca Masjid blast case by the NIA court.
“A meeting was held with Mr Kumar when he was in the city. During the meeting, we extended him an invite and he assured to look into it. He had already confirmed his visit for the ensuing Ganesh Visarjan procession in the city later in September and with Muharram coinciding, he will visit and offer a ‘dhatti’,” Mr Sattar said.
He added that the BJP minority morcha and MRM leaders will be arranging the dais on the Darulshifa Road. When asked about the possible reaction from the community, Mr Sattar said there would be no issues as he has already been proved been proved innocent. acquitted, there is nothing to ponder.
BJP Minority Morcha leader Firasat Ali Baqri said that several leaders are invited for the programmes and senior leaders of the Bhartiya Janata Party visit and offer the ‘dhatti’ to the Bibi-ka-Alam procession. Mr. Sattar said that they are hopeful of Mr. Indresh Kumar turning up at the Bibi-ka-Alam procession and offering a ‘dhatti’ as a mark of goodwill gesture in bridging gaps between the two communities. “Such actions help in bringing down the differences between the communities and prevent hatred,” he said. Later, Mr Sattar said that they will also invite the RSS leader for the Milad-un-Nabi procession to be taken out in November month.
