Telangana: DR Raja Sadaram to be CIC, Charyulu is Legislature Secretary

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is learnt to have decided to appoint Dr S. Raja Sadaram, who demitted the office of secretary, Telangana Legislature on Thursday, as Chief Information Commissioner.

Three years after bifurcation, both TS and AP have decided to constitute separate Information Commissions. The TS government is likely to recommend names to the commission to the Governor for approval. Mr Sadaram has 43 years in government including 41 years in the Legislature department. He was Legislature Secretary for eight years.

Mr V. Narasimha Charyulu, joint secretary was elevated to Mr Sadaram’s post. Sources said that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had sent the file recommending the appointment to the Governor and secured approval.
