TRS team meets Nitin Gadkari for roads

A delegation requested Nitin Gadkari to release the funds for the National Highways in Telangana.

Hyderabad: A delegation led state education minister on Wednesday requested Union road transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari to release the funds for the National Highways in Telangana.

The delegation asked the Union minister to direct the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to construct the underpass, bridges and service roads on Highway No 65 from Hyderabad to Vijayawada.

They told Mr Gadkari that the widening of NH 365B close to completion and one and a half kilometre stretch at Nagaram in Suryapet district needs to be developed as a four lane road in view of the increasing traffic in the area.

Mr Reddy said that he would be grateful if the Union minister could look into the matter and issue suitable instructions to officials for taking up the above works at an early date.

Apart from the minister, the term included party MPs B. Lingaiah Yadav and Dr. Ranjith Reddy.
