Nigerian held for drug peddling in Bagalur

According to police, they received credible information that Tony is in possession of MDMA and cocaine and operating from a house in Bagalur.

Bengaluru: Sleuths of Central Crime Branch (CCB) have arrested a Nigerian national on charges of possessing and selling banned drugs in the city.

The accused has been identified as Tony Lucky (35), a native of Nigeria, residing in Brundavan Nagar on Bagalur Main Road.

According to police, they received credible information that Tony is in possession of MDMA and cocaine and operating from a house in Bagalur. The police conducted a raid at his residence and recovered 30 gm of MDMA and 5 gm of cocaine worth Rs 2 lakh.

Police found that Tony was illegally staying in India and used to travel to Mumbai to purchase banned drugs, which he used to sell to his regular customers in Bengaluru.

The CCB is also investigating whether more people were involved in drug peddling along with Tony.
