Hyderabad: Woman killed by boulder at Simhachalam

Visakhapatnam: A woman died after she was struck by a boulder when she was trekking to the Simhachalam temple early on Wednesday. Another woman suffered severe injuries.

The victim was identified as A. Bhavani, 28, from Sabbavaram in Visakhapatnam district while S. Jagadeswari is undergoing treatment.

Bhavani worked in a private firm and was climbing the stairs to the temple along with a colleague when a boulder, that had been excavated earlier and kept aside as part of the widening of the stairway, rolled and fell on her. The boulder also hit Jagadeswari who was behind Bhavani.
