Even though this has been brought to the notice of the government, there has been no response.

Hyderabad: The international design competition conducted for the Musi Riverfront Development Corporation has been put in cold storage. Officials said that if designs were approved and finalised, the corporation would require Rs 500 crore to execute the work.

Even though this has been brought to the notice of the government, there has been no response.

A senior MRDC official said that the corporation has already finalised about five designs out of 10 and sent these to the government for approval.

He said that the government has been sitting on the designs for over a year and is yet to finalise them.

The official said that if the work was executed as per the designs, the project would require a minimum of Rs 500 crore immediately.
