Hyderabad: The Rachakonda police has filed chargesh-eets before a court in Nalgonda on Wednes-day in the horrific rape and murder of three minor girls in Hajipur village. The police had arrested Marri Srinivas Reddy, who is currently lodged in Warangal Central Prison.
The Rachakonda police said on Wednesday that in order to ensure speedy justice to the families of the victims of the rape and murder in the cases registered at Bommalara-maram police station, three chargesheets were filed before the at Nalgonda special court.
The chargesheets were filed against Marri Srinivas Reddy, who had kidnapped, raped and murdered three minor girls and buried them in a well in his field at Hajipur.
“The cases were investigated by Bhon-gir ACP N. Bhujanga Rao. The investigation was completed in the stipulated time of 90 days. Steps are also being taken to conduct the trial by a fast-track court to ensure conviction for accused Srinivas Reddy, who is currently lodged at Warangal Central Prison,” said Bhongir DCP K. Narayana Reddy.
