TNPSC has a fool-proof system in place: Officials
Chennai: Following the malpractices in the Group-1 examinations, the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has put in a foolproof system in place, according to TNPSC controller of examinations R.Sudhan.
TNPSC has declared the Group IV results on Monday. TNSPC secretary K.Nanthakumar, controller of examinations R.Sudhan met the reporters to share the details of the results.
When asked about the irregularities and malpractices in the Group I examinations conducted in 2016, R.Sudhan said, "The commission is ready and open for inquiry. We have come up with several confidential measures to improve the system. Currently, a case is pending with the High Court and we cannot share further details."
While hearing a petition, the High Court has ordered a full-fledged inquiry into the malpractices in the Group I exam. After the investigation, the police informed the court that malpractices did take place and arrested TNPSC officials.
Clearing the doubts regarding the online examinations TNPSC secretary Nanthakumar said, "The commission has conducted 27 online exams from 2012 and the private company will be employed to give technical assistance and not to conduct the exam or evaluation of answer scripts."
A total of 17,53,154 candidates appeared for the Group IV exam and among them, more than 14 lakh have qualified. Currently, there are 11, 280 vacancies for VAO, junior assistant and typist posts.
The candidates will be called in 1:3 ratio for certificate verification and they need to upload their certificates from August 16 to 30.
