Telangana state gets only one swine flu case so far, Central govt shares precautions

While there were a few cases reported in 2017, there is a fear of sporadic cases from time to time when the temperatures dip.

Hyderabad: A swine flu case reported in Mancherial district of Telangana in June proves that a dip in the temperatures makes the virus active and those whose immunity is weak will be affected.

According to sources in the state government, the case could not be diagnosed properly in the district headquarters of Karimnagar and the patient consulted different doctors before he was finally referred to Hyderabad. A senior epidemiologist said, “It was a case of delayed diagnosis. But as people have developed an immunity for the virus, other cases have not been there have not been reported.”

While there were a few cases reported in 2017, there is a fear of sporadic cases from time to time when the temperatures dip. The health alerts by the Central government share the precautions to be taken in case one contracts swine flu.
