Hyderabad: 3 persons, including a child, killed in accidents
Hyderabad: Three persons, including a six-year-old girl child, were killed in two separate accidents at Shamshabad and Balanagar on Tuesday morning. In both the instances, the victims were mowed by the heavy vehicles leading to instant death.
At 7.50 am, a six-year-old girl child who was crossing the main road at Narsapur X roads in Balanagar was mowed down by a speeding private bus belonging to Vennela Logistics moving towards the Indian Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Ltd route.
The bus dashed the girl from her right and she came under the front left wheel resulting in instant death.
Balanagar police said that the girl has been identified as Saloni Grace, daughter of pot maker Balu Solanki. Soon after the incident, the girl’s family members who live in huts not far from the spot rushed there. The bus driver surrendered at the police station and a case of causing death due to negligence has been registered against him, said the police.
“The road was occupied on the right side by the sanitation workers of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation for cleaning, due to which the driver had to move the bus towards the left which resulted in the accident,” said the girl’s maternal uncle Babu Rao.
In another accident at Satamrai in Shamshabad, two youngsters, Madhu Kumar Yadav, 25, from Kismathpura and Naresh Yadav, 20, of Budwel, were killed when the bike they were riding was hit by an unidentified vehicle on Tuesday morning. They were on their way to home in Maheshwaram from Mankhal.
RGI Airport sub-inspector Ch Venkateshwarlu said that Madhu and Naresh, both cousins and private employees, had been to their relative’s house to attend Bonalu festival on Monday and were returning. The duo was not wearing helmets. The bodies were handed over to their respective families after the autopsy at Osmania General Hospital mortuary and a case has been registered under section 304 A of IPC. Efforts are on to trace the accused vehicle, said the sub-inspector.
