Bhagiratha water from August 15

KCR held a review meeting on Mission Bhagiratha in Pragathi Bhavan on Tuesday.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday instructed Mission Bhagiratha’s official machinery that necessary arrangements have to be made for supplying clean drinking water to all villages by August 15 and to all households by Deepavali.

The CM said that by now, major portion of works, as part of Miss-ion Bhagiratha, have been completed and the teething troubles have also been overcome. The CM directed the officials concerned to complete the rest of the works on a war footing by the scheduled time. KCR held a review meeting on Mission Bhagir-atha in Pragathi Bhavan on Tuesday.

Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, Mission Bhagiratha vice-chairman Vemula Prashanth Reddy, MP J. Santhosh Kumar, Principal Secretary Shanti Kumari, Secretary Smita Sabarwal, RWS ENC Krupakar Reddy, TRANSCO CMD Prabhakar Rao, Mission Bhagiratha Advisor Gnaneshwar, Manohar, CE Vijay Prakash, MLAs Jeevan Reddy, Kanakaiah, MLC Saleem, among others participated.

The CM will also kickstart Kanti Velugu programme on August 15 to treat eye-related problems of people. The Chief Minister announced on Tuesday that Kanti Velugu would be launched simultaneously at 799 places across the state. He also will begin the fourth edition of Harita Haram programme from Gajwel on Wednesday.
