Bengaluru: 'Greenwood High International School' donates furniture to govt schools

Event was organised as part of the school's effort at promoting quality education and a conducive learning environment in the community.

Bengaluru: In a bid to contribute to societal welfare, Greenwood High International School donated furniture to nearby government schools and anganwadis.

According to officials of the school, as many as 350 sets of tables and chairs were distributed to nine government schools and 11 anganwadis of the Neriga Gram Panchayat.

The event was organised as part of the school’s effort at promoting quality education and a conducive learning environment in the community.

The decision was taken based on ground-level research to understand their basic infrastructure requirements for growth and would benefit over 400 students enrolled in the selected institutions, a spokesperson of Greenwood High elaborated.

At the ceremony, P. Shylaja, Chairman of Neriga Gram Panchayat said that school infrastructure plays an extremely significant role in empowering the students for a better future and helps them in overall personality development. “An initiative like this will go a long way to help students in realizing their dream,” she said.
