Bengaluru: Two killed in two separate accidents
Bengaluru: Two persons were killed in separate road accidents reported at the Byatarayanapura and Kumarswamy Layout traffic police station limits on Sunday night. In an incident reported in Byatarayanapura Traffic police station, a 26-year-old bike rider succumbed to his head injuries when an unidentified vehicle, driven rashly, reportedly hit his bike from behind. The vehicle sped away after soon after.
The deceased has been identified as Vinod Kumar, a resident of Nagarabhavi. According to the police, the incident took place at around 11 pm near Millenium Bar on Nagarbhavi main road. Vinod was heading home from Mudalapalya when the incident happened. The Byatarayanapura police have registered a case and are examining the CCTV footage to identify the culprits.
In another incident reported at the Kumaraswamy Layout traffic police station limits, a 28-year-old man died on the spot when the car he was travelling in hit a goods auto near the toll booth on Kanakapura main road. The deceased has been identified as Vijay Kumar, a resident of Electronic City. The incident occurred when the trio were returning from a trip when the incident occurred.
The K S Layout police have registered a case. The driver of the goods auto has been arrested by the police.
