CM Jagan to be in Kadapa from July 7 for YSR Birth Anniversary Fete

Anantapur: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will be on a two-day visit to Kadapa district to take part in the Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy birth anniversary celebrations. He will also take part in several programmes in the district.

He will be in Kalyandurg in Anantapur district on July 8. Official sources said he will arrive in Kadapa on July 7 where he will inaugurate Rajiv Marg and Rajiv park. He will stay at Idupulapaya in Pulivendula segment and offer prayers and homage at his father’s grave at YSR Ghat on July 8.

Although this is an annual ritual followed by Jagan Mohan Reddy, this year he is concentrating on developmental activities in Kadapa district.

A couple of days back, he had conducted a review meeting over developmental activities in Pulivendula and Kadapa district with PADA (Pulivendula Area Development Agency) officials. He directed the district officials to speed up all works and complete them within the deadline.

At present, ₹5,036 crore worth of works under Handri Neeva Sujala Shravanthi and Galeru Nagari Sujala Shravanthi works are under progress. The Chief Minister during his Kadapa tour is expected to announce that all works would be completed by December and water will be released soon thereafter.

Also under progress are reservoir works at Giddnangivari Palle in Vempalle mandal in Pulivendula segment as part of Erraballi Lift irrigation scheme at a cost of ₹1,113 crore.

The Pulivendula model town project will be completed by December. Medical college with an expense of ₹500 crore is under progress while works related to skill training academy, integrated sports complex, nagara vanam and biosciences have been completed.

Child and women welfare minister Ushasri Charan is organising the birth anniversary celebrations of YS Rajasekhar Reddy at Kalyandurg.
