Hyderabad: Post the death of a person at a manhole at Madhapur last week, the Sewerage Board has received 24 complaints on the its WhatsApp number 9949930003.
Mr Dasari Naga Prasad wanted the manhold cover be replaced immediately as it was broken at Durganagar, Dilsukhnagar. “A lot of sand and waste material is getting into the manhole and there is every chance of the drainage getting blocked,” he wrote.
Mr Altaf Mahmood wrote that the manhole cover of a drainage line had broken in the street beside Saifullah masjid at Vattapally as heavy vehicles passed over it regularly.
The board said it had acted quickly on the complaints Board managing director M. Dana Kishore in a statement said all the 24 complaints had been addressed. As leaving such complaints unattended could lead to fatal accidents, the staff has been instructed through circulars and at review meetings to redress them on priority, he said.
