Kadapa police adopt five orphans

SP Anburajan said that he was the eldest of the orphaned children in the district as many families have been affected by corona

KADAPA: The district police department has provided shelter to five orphaned children who lost their parents to corona in the district.

In addition to caring for these children, they took on the responsibility of educating them.

Superintendent of police Karur Karunapathi Nagendra Kumar Anburajan said "I am the eldest of the orphaned children in the district as many families have been affected by corona. We will take care of the children’s education.”

The department has prepared plans in tune with the SP’s efforts to adopt orphans. On the one hand people are showering praises that SP is happy to come to the district that cares about the welfare of the people and that of the police.

Jinka Divya (16) and Jinka Bhagiratha (11) are from Lingampalli village of Siddavatam Mandal. Their parents Chandra Babu and Lakshmi Devi succumbed to corona within two days of each other last month. Divya said "That God himself supported us in the form of the SP. My father worked in a bakery. Our family depended on his earnings only. I am studying Inter at Kadapa government girls' college. My younger brother Bhagiratha is a sixth grader at Santiniketan School."

Syed Mubarak, 15, said he would become a well-educated policeman. “We are staying in RK Nagar in Kadapa. Ten days earlier my mother Syed Qadeerun and two days later my father Syed Gouse Basha died of corona. I am in ninth grade. Thanks to the SP’s initiative, I am starting a new life today. ”

Twins Namcharigalla Ramudu and Lakshmana (17) thanked the police for paving a golden path when the future seemed bleak.

“We are from Khajipet and pursuing Intermediate. Our mother, Narayanamma, a labourer, used to work and feed us. She succumbed to corona a week back and our father Pullaiah died of heart-attack a year ago. We thank the SP for shaping our lives,” he said.

Anburajan said that it was sad that so many children have recently lost their parents to Covid. He said that “we feel it is our responsibility to nurture these young orphans.
