Kadapa: Kadapa district educational officer, Sailaja is reviewing the poor results in class X. She is conducting meetings with mandal and deputy educational officers and headmasters to discuss the reasons for poor results.
Kadapa stood in 11th place in class X results this year, while last year, it was in the 10th position. “We are teaching students throughout the year. Why are some of them not even getting pass marks?” she questioned the officers.
The DEO ordered the officers to issue show cause notices to the teachers and headmasters. She ordered that the concerned subject teachers be the responsible persons for the failure of the students.
The DEO instructed the teachers to arrange special classes for students to appear for the advanced supplementary exams.
This year 36,536 students appeared for the class X exams in the district and 33,943 passed.
15,498 students got A1 and 34,069 got A2 grade, 28,118 secured B1, 20,505 secured B2, 13,400 got C1, 5,397 students obtained C2 grade and 363 got D grade. 2830 students failed in various subjects.
