Visakhapatnam corridor didn't get Delhi road's benefits
The AP government stood as guarantor for the loan from ADB for the VCIC while the Centre remained silent, he said.
Vijayawada: Amid the row over Central funding for Dholera in Gujarat, AP Planning Board vice-chairman Dr C. Kutumba Rao on Thursday questioned why the benefits given by the Centre to states falling in the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) by Centre were not extended to the Vizag-Chennai Industrial Corridor.
The AP government stood as guarantor for the loan from ADB for the VCIC while the Centre remained silent, he said. Mr Rao observed that no progress has been registered in the Coastal Employment Zone (CEZ), even after Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant expressed his satisfaction with the survey report. He said not even a single rupee was granted to the Krishnapa-tnam node by the Centre.
