Rajinikanth apologises for loosing cool at media interaction

His assertion before the media later that infiltration by anti-socials caused the violence, got him whiplashes from many.

Chennai: Superstar Rajinikanth cut his political teeth at Thoothukudi, is now seems. While the first reception for him as he arrived in the port town and during his visit to the victims in the hospital was warm, even joyous, with many rushing for selfies with the obliging Kaala, his assertion before the media later that infiltration by anti-socials caused the violence, got him whiplashes from many.

The experience at Chennai airport climaxed his misery as he failed to control anger when provoked by a hostile segment of media that repeatedly challenged him whether it was right to brand people’s agitation as an extremist operation.

Rajinikanth usually spoke very little or nothing at the airport, so it surprised the media contingent at the airport when he stopped for the media, prepared for a good interaction. He began brusquely, looking a bit annoyed and angry, perhaps because an injured youth in the Thoothukudi hospital spoke to him harshly. And when a couple of TV journalists repeatedly asked him whether he was justified in branding a people's agitation as an extremist operation, he lost his cool. When the ‘missile’ came back to him repeatedly, and obviously annoyingly, Rajinikanth put out his hand and snapped, ‘Aiye’ (Hey) and turning to the other side asked if there was any other question. When another reporter wanted to know whether it was proper to rubbish people's agitation, he flared up and said that TN would end up a graveyard if the people start fighting for everything. Then he walked away very, very angry.
