MLAs repent defection to Telugu Desam: YSRC
Nellore: As many as 6 YSR Congress legislators, who switched over to the Telugu Desam (TD), have been repenting for joining TD, according to YSRC legislators Kakani Govardhan Reddy, Ramireddy Pratap Reddy and Kiliveti Sanjeevaiah. The YSRC legislators claimed that all six MLAs are in touch with them. They expressed confidence in the victory of their Rajya Sabha nominee Vijayasai Reddy without any hassles during a press conference here on Tuesday.
YSRC district convener Kakani Govardhan Reddy has rebuked Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for planning to field fourth nominee on behalf of TD for Rajya Sabha even when he don’t have required numbers to win the seat.
He alleged that there are no moral values for the TD chief while pointing to “note for vote” case where he offered Rs 5 crore to nominated Telangana legislator and added that he is offering Rs 40 crore to Rs 50 crore for YSRC legislators to switch loyalties.
He said that the BJP will be forced to pay penalty for corrupt practices of TD being an alliance partner. The YSRC legislators made it clear that none of them are going to join TD or support their nominee for Rajya Sabha.
