Govardhan Reddy confirmed that rumours regarding Mr Venkata Reddy Komatireddy's departure from the Congress.

Hyderabad: Amidst speculation that senior Congress legislator from Nalgonda, Komatireddy Venkata Reddy would switch sides over to the TRS upon his return from his US trip in first week of June, Congress MP Palvai Govardhan Reddy on Tuesday confirmed that the defection was more or less a surety and it would in no way affect the party.
On Tuesday, Mr Govardhan Reddy confirmed that rumours regarding Mr Venkata Reddy Komatireddy’s departure from the Congress. He also said that Mr Venkata Reddy’s MLC brother Rajagopal Reddy will remain in the Congress.
“Venkata Reddy is a contractor hence business-minded. He will always think on commercial lines. Congress will not suffer due to his exit,” Mr Govardhan Reddy said.
