Nellore: Office bearers of the Girijan Welfare Association rushed to Vuddepugunta, the village of the deceased Srinivasulu on Tuesday, after some people went to offer money to Aruna, the wife of Srinivasulu, allegedly to withdraw her complaint against the hospital. The persons in question managed to flee from the scene after seeing the association members.
According to the general secretary of the Association K.C. Penchalaiah, the persons asked Aruna to sign some papers, promising her a sizeable sum, but the association members reached the spot by then.
The outsiders fled from the scene when the members tried to take their photos. Mr Penchalaiah demanded that police book a case under the SC ST atrocities prevention act against people pressurising Aruna to sign the papers.
