Kozhikode: Teachers skip valuation camp

On Monday, they approached the camp chairman and raised the issue. He said that he had sent the respective bill to the university.

Kozhikode: Self-financing college teachers boycotted English valuation camp at Government College Madappally on Monday protesting the non-release of pending bills.

They were to evaluate the final-degree English answer papers.

As many as 40 teachers of self-financing colleges complain that they didn't get the remuneration for seven valuation camps held in the past two years.

On Monday, they approached the camp chairman and raised the issue. He said that he had sent the respective bill to the university.

"But the university authorities say that they are yet to receive the bill. We don't know what had really happened," said a teacher who boycotted the camp.

"We are stuck between these. This non-disbursal of remuneration is for self-financing college teachers only. Others have no such issue."

The teachers are planning to take up the issue to the next level to get their pending remuneration cleared.
