Hyderabad: As many as 180 passengers were stranded at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Tuesday morning due to a technical fault in a Spice Jet aircraft which was set to fly from Jaipur to Hyderabad.
The passengers who arrived to board the 5.50 am flight were taken aback when they were told that their flight had been called off.
The technical error was noted after completion of the boarding procedures. Passengers alleged that they waited at the airport for 5 hours but received no proper communication from Spice Jet. Exasperated over the lack of alternative arrangements by the airline, angry passengers broke into a protest. Spice Jet cited technical glitches to explain the delay, but no other comment was made.
